My name is Matt Coates from Titirangi, Auckland and I love to create watercolour and acrylic artworks. I’m a self taught artist who studyed graphic design after college but has continued to make art since then.

My passion for art has increasingly become an more of an obsession with playing with paint, wood and other materials to create something.

I personally believe anyone can be creative and artistic they want to. There is no magic talent or gifted people in Art, Artists tend to be people who are dedicated and determined to not give up on something they enjoy. 

Perhaps their super power is determination.
