The largest coin from the 80’s, a coin that trumps the rest with the majestic Endeavour. A ship that could write endless stories about the world and the oceans it has travelled across.

For years I looked into that coin and imagined the wildlife in the scenery that shared the salty air. This artwork features an albatross, whales and the sea that never sleeps.

This is the sixth and final artwork in the ‘NZ treasures coin series’ - 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c 20c and 50c.
